Experience
Denise Campbell is an attorney with more than 30 years of experience. In 1992, Denise began a career representing individuals, small businesses and Fortune 500 companies as both plaintiffs and defendants in various types of civil litigation matters throughout New York and New Jersey. In 1993 she was admitted to practice in all of the state courts in New Jersey and New York as well as the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
In 2002, Denise began volunteering with an organization called Trial Lawyers Care as a member of the original group of attorneys who volunteered to represent the victims for no fee. The organization was founded for the purpose of connecting volunteer lawyers with victims of 9-11. Her first assignment was to represent several members of the FDNY and the NYPD. These individuals sustained life altering, career ending, permanent injuries as a result of the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. The Fund continues to operate under the James Zadroga 9-11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 (The Zadroga Act) and permits attorneys to accept a 10% contingency payment inclusive of disbursements. My work with victims of 9-11 has expanded to include anyone who suffered injuries as a result of the terrorist attacks of that day. Denise has represented members of the NYPD and FDNY, employees of The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and other victims who were in the towers or at Ground Zero in the weeks following 9-11-01. All of my clients whose claims have been processed as of the date of this certification have received financial awards ranging from $250,000.00 to more than $1,300,000.00. The nature of my clients’ physical injuries and disease processes are acute, chronic, and progressive orthopedic, esophageal, otolaryngologic, gastrointestinal and pulmonary conditions. Since 2014, I have represented individuals diagnosed with 9-11 related cancers involving the brain, breast, pancreas, bile duct and skin as well as various forms of lymphatic cancer. Denise also represent the estates of victims who died as a result of their 9-11 injuries and related cancers and has succeeded in obtaining significant awards for every 9-11 client she have represented over the last two decades.
Denise is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association of New Jersey and has been handling employment related litigation matters in New York and New Jersey for more than 20 years. The types of cases Denise handles include but are not limited to wrongful termination in violation of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, breach of employment agreements, breach of non-compete agreements, denial of unemployment benefit appeals and various other types of employment related issues.
In the field of general personal injury law, Denise has represented plaintiffs and defendants in cases in New York and New Jersey involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, slip and fall and dog bite cases.
Lastly, Denise’s legal experience also includes residential real estate transactions and related litigation.
